QUALITY CONTROL
Quality Control: Quality control may be defined as the study source of
errors which are the responsibility of the clinical laboratory and the
process used to recognized and minimize them.
Types of Quality Control:
1. Internal quality control
2. External quality control
2. External quality control
Qus : Write down the terminology of quality control ?
Ans : 1.Accuracy : Ability of an analytical method to detect the test result, close to true value.
2. Precision: Ability of an analytical method to give the same result. If repeatedly in the same specimen for the same analyze.
3. Sensitivity: Ability of an analytical method to detect the smallest test quantity of substance than can be differentiated from zero.
4. Specificity: Ability of an analytical method to detect the substance that is specifically asked for.
